iPad Tips 2012 – #4 What do I do when my iPad freezes?

It doesn’t happen very often, if at all, but when it does freeze it is good to know what to do. If your iPad gets stuck while doing a project or action restart without worrying about losing your data except possibly what you were just working on.

Step 1: Hold the sleep/wake button on the top right back edge of the iPad. At the same time hold the Home Button at the bottom.

Step 2: Keep holding down both buttons until the iPad shuts down and restarts (this happens after a couple of seconds) The white apple will appear in the middle of the touchscreen. Let the iPad fully restart and you will see then iPad main screen come back. You should be ready to start working, playing or enjoying apps on the iPad again immediately.

iPad froze with picture of cord and iTunes on it. Was not on iTunes at the time. Was simply charging.
